Modern Slavery Statement

Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement sets out the steps Man with Van Ealing has taken, and continues to take, to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking from occurring within our business operations and supply chains. We recognise our responsibility to uphold human rights, promote fair working practices, and ensure that all individuals connected with our services are treated with dignity and respect.

Modern slavery encompasses slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, debt bondage and human trafficking. Man with Van Ealing is firmly committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships, and to implementing effective systems and controls to prevent modern slavery.

Our Zero-Tolerance Policy

Man with Van Ealing operates a clear zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. We do not condone, support or engage in any form of modern slavery, whether directly or indirectly. This commitment applies to our own operations, our staff, contractors, agency workers and any third parties who provide goods or services on our behalf.

All employees and workers engaged by Man with Van Ealing are required to comply with our ethical standards and working practices. We aim to provide fair pay, safe working conditions, and an environment free from coercion and exploitation. Any breach or suspected breach of our commitment to preventing modern slavery is treated as a serious matter and may result in disciplinary action, including termination of contracts or working arrangements where appropriate.

Our Supply Chain and Supplier Standards

Our supply chain primarily includes vehicle suppliers, fuel providers, equipment and packaging suppliers, and occasional labour and service providers. We expect all suppliers and partners to share our commitment to eradicating modern slavery and to comply with all relevant legislation and regulations relating to labour, employment and human rights.

We aim to work only with suppliers who can demonstrate that they operate in a manner consistent with our values. We may request information from suppliers on their own modern slavery policies, due diligence measures and labour practices. Where necessary, we seek assurances that workers are employed voluntarily, are of legal working age, and are provided with fair terms and conditions.

Supplier Audits and Due Diligence

As part of our ongoing efforts to prevent modern slavery, we are committed to undertaking proportionate supplier audits and due diligence activities. These may include reviewing supplier documentation, requesting evidence of compliance with labour and human rights standards, and conducting site visits where appropriate and feasible.

If concerns are identified during an audit or review, we will engage with the supplier to understand the issue and require corrective actions within a reasonable timeframe. In serious cases, or where a supplier is unwilling or unable to address identified risks, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate the business relationship.

Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing

Man with Van Ealing encourages a culture of openness and accountability. We want all employees, workers, suppliers and other stakeholders to feel confident that they can raise concerns about modern slavery or unethical labour practices without fear of retaliation or disadvantage.

Concerns can be raised through internal reporting channels, including direct reporting to line managers or senior management. All reports are taken seriously and will be investigated promptly and confidentially to the extent possible. Where appropriate, we will involve relevant authorities or external specialists to ensure that concerns are handled correctly and that any victims are protected and supported.

Training and Awareness

We aim to raise awareness of modern slavery risks within our organisation, particularly among those involved in recruitment, supplier management and operational decision-making. Training and guidance are provided so that team members understand the signs of modern slavery, know how to respond to concerns, and appreciate their role in maintaining ethical standards.

By embedding awareness into daily practice, we seek to ensure that potential issues are identified early and addressed effectively. We also encourage suppliers to provide appropriate training within their own organisations.

Monitoring, Governance and Annual Review

Responsibility for overseeing our approach to modern slavery sits with the senior management of Man with Van Ealing. They are accountable for reviewing the effectiveness of our policies, procedures and controls, and for ensuring that any necessary improvements are implemented.

This Modern Slavery Statement is reviewed annually to reflect changes in our operations, supply chains, legal requirements and industry best practice. As part of this review, we assess any incidents reported, audit findings, supplier feedback and developments in guidance or legislation. Where needed, we will strengthen our measures, update internal procedures and enhance training to continually improve our response to the risk of modern slavery.

Man with Van Ealing remains committed to playing its part in combating modern slavery and human trafficking and to ensuring that our services are delivered ethically and responsibly.
